We offer the following benefits to direct and brokered groups and companies

In the event of death of a principal life assured (employee) a lump sum monetary amount, which can be specified as a multiple of the employee’s salary or a fixed amount will be payable.

In the event of the Death of an employee and/or his/her Spouse and/or any of the Dependents of that employee, a Funeral Benefit will be paid. The benefit will be a specified lump sum monetary amount.

In the event of the death of the employee’s nominated Spouse a Death Benefit will be payable. The benefit will be a lump sum monetary amount which can be specified as a multiple of the employee’s salary or a fixed amount.

Occupational Disability Benefit (ODB)

In the event of the Total and Permanent Disability of an employee an Occupational Disability Benefit (ODB) will be payable. The disability will be assessed based on the employee’s ability to perform material duties, associated with the current occupation or an occupation deemed to be similar to the current occupation for which he/she is qualified or suited taking into account his/her experience, training and education. The benefit will be a lump sum monetary amount which can be specified as a multiple of the employee’s salary or a fixed amount.

Total and Permanent Disability (PTD)

The total and permanent inability of an employee due to injury or illness to perform the material and substantial duties of any occupation in the open labour market for which he is qualified or suited or could reasonably be expected to become qualified or suited taking into account the degree of Total and Permanent Disability and his knowledge, training education, ability and experience. The availability of job opportunities shall not be taken into account for this purpose. The benefit will be a lump sum monetary amount which can be specified as a multiple of the employee’s salary or a fixed amount.

Total Temporary Disability (TTD)

In the event of temporary disablement of the Principal Life Assured a benefit will be payable after an applicable waiting period.  The benefit will be a monthly monetary amount paid for a limited period. The Disability must result in the employee experiencing a loss of income from employment.

Permanent Health Insurance (PHI)

In the event of continuous Disablement (Disability) of an employee a Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) benefit will be payable.  The benefit will be a monthly monetary amount. The Disability must result in the employee experiencing a loss of income from employment.

Benefit payment will cease on the earlier of:

  • Employee reaching Retirement age
  • Employee Maximum cover age
  • Recovery of the Employee
  • Death of the Employee

Dread Disease (DD)

In the event of an employee diagnosed with a qualifying Dread Disease a benefit will be payable. The benefit will be a lump sum monetary amount which can be specified as a multiple of the employee’s salary or a fixed amount.
